MARY NEVER COMES ALONE

Greetings of peace and joy to you all in the Name of Jesus.
Welcoming guests is a great culture our country. People treat  guests as god. This is why it is said, “ athididevobhava”. Not only in India but all throughout the world people respect guests. The Holy Bible gives many examples of welcoming guests. For example, Abraham welcomed three men at the oaks of Mamre Gen 18;1-5). Lot invited the angels as guests into his home ( Gen 19: 1-3). In the New Testament Jairus, Zacchaeus, Pharisees etc welcomed Jesus to their houses.
What happens when you welcome our Blessed Mother into our lives.
When you welcome Mary,  She never comes alone.  Then with whom she comes?
1. she comes with Her Son
2. She comes with the Word of God
3. She comes with all Her Family

She Comes With Her Son

Mary is never alone. The Mighty Lord is with Her. The angel at the Annunciation greeted her, “ Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you.” So she is never alone. After the annunciation Mary went to her cousin Elizabeth. She did not go alone. The very Yes to the angel’s message is the beginning of the formation of Jesus flesh in her womb. This means that she went to her cousin bearing Jesus in her womb. Mary might have gone to Zechariah’s house many times. But this time the entry is very precious and special. This time she entered the house with the Mighty Lord in her womb. This is the reason why John the Baptist leaped for joy in his mother’s womb. She never comes alone but always comes with her son, Jesus.

She comes with the Word of God

She never comes alone with her own words, but comes only with the word of God. Best examples for this statement we find from her apparitions. The message of Lourdes is, the good news of the gospel message of prayer, penance and poverty. The message of Fathima apparition emphasizes central truths and devotions of the catholic faith: The Blessed Trinity, The Eucharist, penance, the rosary and sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. So when she comes, she always come with the message of her Son.

She comes with all Her Family

When we call her, she never comes alone. She always comes with her whole family         ( Jesus, Mary and Joseph). How is this possible. When you call Mary, she comes with all her family. This can be understood from a short story.

Once there was a man who was a great devotee to the blessed mother. He led a simple life. He doesn’t know much prayers, but the only prayer he recites all the time was “ Hail Mary.” He completed his life span on the earth and went straightly to the gate of heaven. St. Peter at the gate saw him, turned the records and said, “ You do not have place in the heaven. Your name is not written in the book. Get out of here.” The man wept so bitterly and called “Mary, my Mother. Please help me.” But Peter sent him out. Mother Mary was looking all this scene from the window. She rose and came out of heaven, so sad. Joseph, her spouse, saw Mary weeping and going out of heaven, he also came out of heaven. Seeing Mary and Joseph going out of heaven, Jesus as a little child, came out of heaven and following his parents. St. Peter saw Jesus going out of heaven said, “Lord why are you going out of heaven?” Jesus replied, “ I love to stay with my parents in heaven. If they are moving out, I too will not stay here,” Seeing all this Peter called back the person whom he sent away to enter the heaven.
Dar friends though the above story is a fiction, but this could be true. When we call Mary the Holy family comes to us.  How beautiful it is when the Holy family comes and stays with us.  So dear friends let us believe that Mary never comes alone, but always with her son, Jesus, with the divine message and finally with her whole family. Amen.
